Free workshop for eating disorders / emotional eating
We recognize that when someone is battling with an eating disorder, everyone around them is impacted by it. There is very little attention given to this matter. If you are a caregiver to someone, you know the feeling of hopelessness and devastation when it comes to watching your loved one suffer right in front of your eyes. Not only is it very difficult to make sense of the disorder, but also difficult to make sense of your own reaction. This is a challenging situation in and of itself. When it comes to the disorder, it thrives in chaos and looks for language that is used to hold the individual captive. Often unknowingly, encouraging comments are words filled with fear and frustration, used to feed the disordered thoughts and behaviours.
At our Caregivers Circle, you will have the opportunity to meet others in your situation, to share, and listen to each others experiences. This is a space where you can ask questions, express your doubts about the disorder, as well as learn how to manage your emotions and actions. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to gain some tools on how not to get sucked into the eating disorders’ world.
The Caregivers Circle is a 2 hours Interactive Virtual (via Google Meet) and or In person Workshop conducted by our expert, with up to 12 participants. We meet monthly on the last Thursdays of each month. Everyone is welcome to sign up by using the link below.
